The
inaugural issue of Kadokawa Shoten's Newtype Ace magazine is announcing
on Saturday that creator Yoshiyuki Tomino (Gundam, Ideon) is launching a
new project called G Reko. The announcement does not indicate G Reko's
type of media or venue. The magazine issue does feature imageboard art
from the project.
Since
last year, Tomino has been discussing "Hajimetai Capital G no
Monogatari," a proposed new novel project which features the
space-science/science-fiction concept of a space elevator. This method
of ferrying objects from a planet's surface to orbit is a plot point in
such anime as The Super Dimension Century Orguss, Mobile Suit Gundam 00,
and Tomino's own Turn A Gundam.
